Norway's Biggest Celebration - The 17th of May!
If you are arriving in Norway the weekend before Floating Wind Days, you're in for a treat - you'll be here for Norway's Constitution Day! Everywhere in Norway, including Haugesund of course, there are celebrations with children's parades, vibrant marching bands and a sea of flags filling the streets. You will see A LOT of people dressed in the traditional 'bunad'. It is a day of unity, history and national pride.
