Experience Utsira - Coexistence with Offshore Wind
Join our tour to the unique island of Utsira, Norway smallest municipality and soon host to the world's largest floating wind park.
Located 18 km off the Norwegian coast, Utsira is a small island community with a long history tied to the sea. As offshore wind development moves forward, places like Utsira will be at the heart of discussions on co-existence—how renewable energy projects can integrate with local industries, communities, and marine ecosystems. This visit offers a unique opportunity to experience life on the island, meet local stakeholders, and explore how offshore wind can be developed in harmony with coastal communities. Participants will hear directly from those living and working on Utsira while visiting key locations across the island.

Offshore Wind Supply Chain Day & METCentre
Norway is home to a world-leading offshore wind supply chain, with deep expertise in marine engineering, fabrication, and offshore operations. This visit will bring participants to key sites across the region, including ports, yards, and suppliers, where they will meet major industry players driving the sector forward. The day will conclude with a boat trip to the Marine Energy Test Centre (METCentre) — Norway’s premier testing ground for floating offshore wind. Located off the coast of Karmøy, METCentre provides testing and verification services for innovative offshore wind technologies and is home to pioneering projects, including the world’s first floating wind turbine. The boat trip to METCentre is included in the Floating Wind Days ticket, and this site visit is designed to ensure that attendees can combine both. Participants who do not wish to join the boat trip will have the option to return to Haugesund by bus. This visit is designed to both inspire and connect — giving participants a better understanding of the offshore wind value chain while creating opportunities to engage with companies, investors, and decision-makers shaping the industry.
