Juan Pardo is a researcher with NIVA’s offshore wind team, with a background in marine biology and coastal management. He is involved in national and international projects exploring the interplay between human-made infrastructure (e.g., offshore renewables, ports and harbours) and the environment, with a focus on nature-based solutions and nature-positive approaches in the offshore wind industry. He currently serves as Scientific Deputy for the Horizon Europe project NiD4OCEAN (Nature-inclusive Designs for Reconciling Offshore Renewables with Ocean Protection).
