Finlay is a Principal Analyst in Wood Mackenzie’s Offshore Wind team, where he analyses several facets of the global offshore wind sector, in addition to the offshore services sector and supply chain for both fixed and floating wind. Throughout his tenure at Wood Mackenzie, Finlay has supported some of the largest developers, financiers, OEMs, and suppliers in identifying opportunities and risks across the global offshore wind market. Finlay is also Wood Mackenzie’s expert analyst for the UK and Irish offshore wind markets where he covers developments in policy, tenders, lease auctions and supply chain developments. He has a background in engineering, having graduated from Edinburgh University in 2018 with a masters in Mechanical Engineering with Renewable Energy. Finlay joined Wood Mackenzie in 2020, having had prior experience with both onshore and offshore wind consultancy, and is based in Wood Mackenzie’s London Office.
