Korea, the country surrounded by sea, has a strong potential for offshore wind. The Korean Government has set a target of 14 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030. Floating wind projects of more than 6 GW are under development off the coast of Ulsan and further growth is in the pipeline. For the complete supply chain development, collaboration with foreign technologies is essential on top of utilization of the existing industrial basis including shipbuilding, steel and equipment manufacturing.
