Thomas Hjort is the director of innovation at Vattenfall offshore wind, where he has had various leading roles in the front end of windfarm design since 2015. Thomas is active in several Danish interest and industry organizations related to the green transition to ensure focus on innovation and continuous evolution of offshore wind. In Vattenfall Thomas has been leading initiatives on innovation with the European innovation council and the Dutch design foundation. Prior to joining Vattenfall that he has worked for Vestas wind systems, Danfoss solar and Siemens wind power (now SiemensGamesa Renewable energy). Thomas is listed as inventor on 30+ patent families and thrive in the space between good ideas and business implementation.
