Sigurd Pettersen represents DNV’s Ocean Space research program. He manages the innovation project MARCO - MARine CO-existence scenario building, where DNV aims to develop a participatory scenario-building framework for use in early-stage project planning and stakeholder dialogues in offshore wind. He also manages the DNV's Ocean's Future to 2050 project, which is DNVs model-based global forecast of developments in the Blue Economy. He holds a PhD in Marine Technology from Norwegian University of Science and Technology, specialized in marine system design and logistics. His PhD focused on resilience as a design feature in offshore support vessels and ocean logistics systems, as a means of handling future market and operational uncertainty.
