Magnus Igel is the Business Development Director at Renewable Energy Systems – RES, in the Nordics, where he currently focuses on and leads the departments for hydrogen, offshore wind, solar energy, and energy storage. With a career spanning more than two decades in the renewable energy sector, Igel has significant experience and expertise in the development and implementation of green energy projects. RES is the world's largest independent renewable energy company, active in 24 countries, and has delivered over 24 GW of renewable energy projects globally. The company supports 41 GW of renewable assets across 1,300 sites through asset management, operation and maintenance (O&M). Before joining RES, Igel worked as a project manager at Stena Renewable from 2012 to 2018, where he led the development of several renewable energy projects. Previously, he was a project manager at Wallenstam, where he helped establish their energy company Svensk NaturEnergi in 2004. Through these roles, he has demonstrated his ability to drive projects from concept to completion, with a strong focus on sustainability, local engagement, and innovation.
