Cédric Le Bousse holds an engineering degree from the École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris and began his career at EDF Renewables (formerly Energies Nouvelles) in 2006. As project manager, he took part in the development of our first offshore wind projects in France. He was particularly involved in matters such as dialogue and negotiation with local stakeholders (mayors, government representatives, associations, fishermen, unions, etc.). He also was EDF EN representative regarding the construction of offshore projects in Belgium (Thorntonbank wind farm) and followed the construction of Teesside wind farm in the United Kingdom. From 2009, he created and structured the Israeli subsidiary of the group. There, he was in charge of negotiating partnerships with local developers, securing financing and developing the solar portfolio. From 2012, as Project Manager and then CTO of the Polat Energy subsidiary in Turkey, he was in charge of the engineering, contracting and construction of the company’s wind projects. He was responsible for delivering the Geycek onshore wind project (168MW) through all stages from permitting to commissioning. Back to France in 2014 as Deputy VP Industry for offshore and marine projects, he contributed to the structuring of our teams and offshore projects in France, as well as to the launch and construction of the Blyth project in the United Kingdom. Since 2016, he has been Vice President Asia within the International Division where he manages the activity in China, India, South-East Asia and Australia. He recently worked on the creation of a joint venture with China Energy Investment Corporation (China Energy) to build and operate the Dongtai offshore wind farm. This success allows EDF Renewables to enter the Asian offshore wind market, EDF Renewables becoming the first foreign offshore wind developer to join the Chinese market. As of 3 April, 2020, he is appointed as Director of Renewable Marine Energies France He will be a member of the EDF Renewables Executive Committee As Director of Renewable Marine Energies France, he will be in charge of the successful completion of the French offshore wind projects already won in the AO1 and AO3 tenders. He will also pursue the development of new offshore wind projects in France and will lead the ramp-up of our operations in new innovative sectors, such as floating wind energy. Thanks to the skills and experience of its teams, he will play a key role in coordinating between countries and sharing know-how on offshore projects within EDF Renewables, in the rest of Europe, North America and emerging countries.
