Anne B. Osland has an educational background in social sciences and has for many years been a section head at the Directorate of Fisheries, section for Aquaculture Licensing. The section is responsible for granting permits for various forms of aquaculture, such as research, development, and broodstock, but also for growth and auctions in the aquaculture industry. The section also works on facilitating and establishing regulations and frameworks for offshore aquaculture. Anne also has extensive experience as a manager at the Institute of Marine Research for aquaculture projects in various developing countries
